A Busy Day in Paris

Flat Linda's first full day in Paris was a busy one. She started with pain au chocolat and hot tea in her apartment and then headed to the Musee Carnavalet to learn about French history.

One of the highlights of the Carnavalet was the George Fouquet Jewelry shop. The decor of the shop, which is preserved in the museum, was designed by Art Nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha. (note from FL: someone please make sure 3D Connie sees this!)

Flat Linda also did a little shopping at a fabric store. Perhaps she'll be inspired to make an Art Nouveau quilt when she gets home.

She continued to make new friends....

and see the unique sites of Paris.

Unfortunately Flat Linda did not get photos of her first meal at a real French restaurant but it was delicious. It started with a kir royale and potato chips (seriously) and ended with a chocolate floating island.

Flat Linda's next couple of days are going to be jam-packed so she may not check in for a bit but she promises she'll be back soon!

Flat Linda would like to add a thanks to Sam, who found Zoomit.  Without Zoomit none of these photos could be posted.
